Avoidance

Man avoids love,

Knowing he could lose everything,

If he falls, he may fail,

And be left with nothing,

So, man avoids love.

It wouldn’t make sense to rely on faith,

For it is small in measure,

It’s not wise to compromise,

For the space is limited,

Why risk holding nothing?

Man avoids love.

He is capable of giving his all.

He may not last and may lose his last.

He could shift from something to nothing.

With good reason, man avoids love.
