So Umar packs his undies with explosives and I still can't take my toothpaste on the plane...

When I first heard about the recent terrorist attempt, I thought that it was a case of some passenger overacting. Turns out, someone actually made it through airport security with explosives. Per the NY post, Umar Farouk Abulmutallab padded his underwear with enough explosives to rip a hole in the plane. So this is what I gather, to avoid wasting $10 to $15 in toiletries, I'll just stuff them in my underwear and I should be good to go. Right?

I have had some real issues with airport/airline security since 9/11. TSA personnel glare at you as if you are just rolling out of Sing Sing Correctional Facility. If you actually get through security in enough time to catch your plane, you are then fed like a prisoner by the airline [peanuts and 2 1/2 ounces of water].

I'll give it two months and we will see TSA conducting full body searches on all brown people, and airlines withholding peanuts as an interrogation measure if toothpaste is found in your pants. Blah!
